Bridge, Tunnel and Marine structures

Major infrastructure projects have been a key part of our company’s business since its start. Today, COWI draws on its more than 80 years of experience to remain one of the world’s leading infrastructure consultancy companies.

With thousands of projects in more than 100 countries completed since 1930, transportation is one of COWI’s key business areas. In recent years we have been part of the design and construction of some of the world’s largest offshore wind farms, deepest immersed tunnels and longest bridges.

Poised for the future
As we look towards tomorrow, that trend will continue. COWI has already been selected to take part in the design of the world’s longest suspension bridge, the Messina Strait Bridge connecting Sicily with mainland Italy. We will undertake the design for the challenging Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao immersed tunnel. And, one of the first companies to design an offshore wind farm, COWI is poised to remain one of the leaders in the field.

Pushing boundaries With the requirements for new bridges, tunnels, harbours and wind farms pushing the boundaries of what existing technology and building techniques allow, COWI’s maintenance services and service life design programme are helping to ensure that structures live up to their expected lifespan.
Thanks to a multidisciplinary approach to consultancy, COWI is able to create value for public and private-sector clients with a complete service package that covers all phases of transportation project development, from planning and design to construction and maintenance, as well as any related services.
